WhiteNoise, the $2 Ambien from the App Store

I heard about WhiteNoise from an episode of This Week In Tech. In has 40 ambient sounds that help you get a good nights rest. Listen to waves crash on the beach, rain, airplane noise, oscillating fan, cat's pur, heartbeat, campfire, cars driving down the road, thunderstorm, etc. So this little app is well worth the money if you have issues falling and staying asleep.

So far I have been in a deeper RIM for the 3 days Ive used it which has worked a lot better than the one month of Ambien I used after realizing it didnt help me any more than not taking it so I never refilled it. Any this has helped me dream some weird, crazy dreams of finding a secret skatepark in an underground missile silo or nuclear fallout bunker (not sure which) and handcuffing a suspect at a crime scene while other lazy detectives just watch reluctant to help out. I normally havent been able to remember any dreams for a little while.

It's been recommended by Health Magazine, featured in Washington Post and blogged by New York Times.

Dropzone Released

I used the beta for a little while on my netbook but got way to busy to really dig in. I set up the app and services but didnt really use it much at all. This app lets you drag and drop files to upload to Flickr, open in an app, email, etc. Although I was thinking about how crazy that was. All you have to do to open a text file is just double click it so drag and dropping in this app it a bit unnecessary. The Flickr feature is cool. It's sure to grow in functionality.

Steve Jobs releases statement on his health

From Steve's release

"As many of you know, I have been losing weight throughout 2008. The reason has been a mystery to me and my doctors. A few weeks ago, I decided that getting to the root cause of this and reversing it needed to become my #1 priority.

Fortunately, after further testing, my doctors think they have found the cause -- a hormone imbalance that has been "robbing" me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. Sophisticated blood tests have confirmed this diagnosis.

The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I've already begun treatment. But, just like I didn't lose this much weight and body mass in a week or a month, my doctors expect it will take me until late this Spring to regain it. I will continue as Apple's CEO during my recovery."
