After searching around on Flickr for groups and photos, in particular for Sony Alpha related groups, I decided I should share some of the photos that have struck my eye.

This is Chinese performance artist Li Wei. Through the use of mirrors, wires and assistants, he create gravity defying self-portrait photos of him crashing through walls, falling off buildings, flying way from people, etc. Photoshop was not used to create his work of art.
"My artistic language is universal and deals with themes about contemporary politics and society using symbols understood by everyone in every part of the world."
"I am fascinated by the unstable and dangerous sides of art and I hope my works reflect these aspects."
I first found out about this Chicago freelance artist when thumbing threw Vapors magazine a while back ago. Chuck Anderson started in 2003 in which he used his nopattern.com site to display his personal work he had created during high school on his free time. He didn't have any client work at that time. He worked several jobs such as at a screenprinter, packing Threadless.com shirts, etc. After seeing all the art that inspired him in magazines, he contacted art directors listed in the mastheads. His client list grew. He would get in touch with more magazines, ad agencies, studios, etc. He promoted online and in print. He has an extensive client list that includes Adidas, Bic, Urban Outfitters, Honda, ESPN, NYLON magazine, SXSW, Sony, Wired magazine, etc.
Check out his new book for sale called "Wandering Off Into Space". 64 pages of his design work.

I found this in Criminal Records a few weeks ago when I went up to Atlanta with my friend Sayed. This postcard is designed by Atlanta artist R.Land. I love the sarcasm.

I saw this artist on CBS Sunday Morning show and wanted to share his art.
This is art from a 34-year old Jersey City, Brian Donnelly, graffiti artist turned traditional painter, designer known as KAWS. He got his start by drawing on his skateboard, painting on walls now he is showcasing his paintings in galleries after shying away from museums and galleries for years. The name KAWS has no meaning, he just liked the shapes of k, a, w, s. His art has caught the eye of Pharrell Williams who has commissioned dozens of pieces for his Miami home and Kanye West. He designed the artwork for Kanye's latest album, "808's and Heartbreaks". He has also collaborated with Lucasfilm to designed a Star Wars stormtrooper.
